Lindorm 0.2 released!

Lindorm 0.2 has just been released!

This is the first update for Lindorm, it assumes a blank database when installing, there is currently no feature to automatically update your existing site to Lindorm 0.2

An update function is planned and will likely be released with Lindorm 0.3

Updates in 0.2 include:

- Support for MySQL and H2 - Multiple admin users - Simple user groups for admin users (Full access or Pages access) - Another template - Added development mode - Added maintenance mode - Tweaked the media manager, pages editor, menu editor - Added user editor

Version 0.3 (Not released) will include: - More user support - Increased security with built-in support for CloudFlare - User messaging - Automatic password reset/email function

And more to be announced later on.

Remember that Lindorm is in Alpha status, I do my best to test for bugs before release but if you find any, please let me know on here or on our Facebook page

Lindorm 0.2 is on the way

I'm working on the next version of Lindorm as I write this.

These first few releases are going to be pretty close together, as I want to get it up to a nicely useable state for users as fast as possible, rather than wait and polish it for 6 months.

0.2 will have better login functionality and tracking, page view tracking, improved editing pages, multi-user logins, messaging between users, a development mode and a nicer maintenance-mode page.

In a later release I'll probably cook up some ajax functions for the admin panel so there is less reloading.

Also planned for a later release is integration with the CloudFlare API for handling banning of users and attempts at hacking.

If you have any questions or ideas for things you'd like to see, comment or send me an email at

Remember, the plan is to make Lindorm the go-to CMS for OpenBD (No testing will be done for other CFML engines, though it should work on Railo and ACF as well).

Lindorm 0,1 Hatchling released

There we are!

I've just released version 0.1 (Hatchling) of Lindorm, the built-for-OpenBD CMS.

Go gentle on me, this is my first public release ever.

I'd be more than happy if you would be willing to help me test it and give me feedback so I can improve on it and release 0.2 as soon as possible :)

I'm having fun working on Lindorm, it's a new challenge and it serves a purpose (CMS for the OpenBD engine)

First post, an introduction and a little about Lindorm

My name is Marcus Fernstrom, I'm the creator of the Lindorm CMS.

I use and love OpenBD, it's fast, easy to use and secure. At a few times I've gone looking for a CMS to use, and found a number of them, but all had issues running on OpenBD, some wouldn't install, some needed lots of tweaks and TLC to get going, and some would seem fine until you started using it, at which point it breaks spectacularly.

I wasn't going to abandon OpenBD just for a CMS so after swearing a while I decided that a more productive solution would be do something about it.

And thus Lindorm was born.

The plan is straight forward, to create a fully featured CMS that runs on OpenBD with no muss or fuss while not sacrificing functionality, speed, or security.

I'm putting the finishing touches on release 0.1 right now and it should be available within a few days.

It should be considered an Alpha release, lacking functionality and probably have bugs.

0.1 is not meant for live websites, but can give you an idea of what I'm going for.

So far we have basic templating, a simple media (Image) handler, page editor and a menu editor.

It'll come with a few templates to act as examples, and I'll be writing up documentation for using all aspects of Lindorm CMS.

There's a wiki and a forum here at, and I welcome feedback and ideas for improvements.
